This blackened stainless-steel prong collar for Standard Poodles is 58 cm long with a 3.2 mm prong - welded links are evenly spaced so that when your Poodle pulls, pressure spreads around the whole neck like a gentle pinch that redirects its focus. Made in Germany by Herm Sprenger.

Why this collar suits the Standard Poodle

Standard Poodles are athletic and quick, and an excited Poodle can pull with surprising strength. They also have curly coats that mat easily under rough collars, so gear needs to be both secure and smooth. A prong collar gives clear, precise communication, distributing pressure evenly around the neck instead of loading the throat like a flat collar.

Key benefits

Special black finish - striking, tactical look

Rust and corrosion resistant - keeps its finish over time

Smooth welded links - won't scratch your dog

Two rings for the leash - flexible use (control or dead-ring)

Made by Herm Sprenger, Germany - the global benchmark in prong collars

Technical specifications

Material: blackened stainless steel

Prong diameter: 3.2 mm

Total length: 58 cm (10 links)

Add a link: +3.5 cm each

Suitable for: medium and large dogs, short and long coats

Brand: Herm Sprenger (HS), Germany

Choosing the right size for a Standard Poodle

Adult Standard Poodles typically measure about 35-45 cm around the neck. Remove links from the 58 cm base for a snug, high fit. Measure just behind the ears before ordering.

Safe fit & use

Never leave a dog unattended in a prong collar. Open the collar to put it on - don't pull it over the head. Fit it high and snug, but not tight. The blackened finish may transfer color to white or light fur, so it is best avoided on Poodles with white areas at the neck.

Frequently asked questions

Is 3.2 mm the right prong size for a Poodle?
Yes - 3.2 mm is the medium prong, suitable for medium-to-large dogs like the Standard Poodle, offering clear communication without being oversized.

Will it work through a dense, curly coat?
Yes - the prongs give even, consistent feedback through short and long coats alike.

Is it humane?
Fitted and used correctly, it spreads light pressure evenly around the neck and gives clear feedback with far less force than a flat collar.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0738/0425/1392/files/Golden-Poodle-Prong-Collar-Brass-Leash.png?v=1790265762
https://k9-industries.com/products/herm-sprenger-prong-collar-for-standard-poodles-blackened-stainless-steel-medium-3-2-mm-made-in-germany
