This collection is the gear that sits around the bite work: what you set up on the field, what you carry to it, and what the helper uses between bites. Sort it by phase.
Equipment by phase of IGP training
- Tracking: IGP / Schutzhund tracking articles as a set of 3 or a set of 7 materials, and a tracking flag to mark the start.
- Obedience: a portable adjustable IGP hurdle for the retrieve over the jump.
- Protection: a 7 ft telescopic IGP training blind for blind search and hold and bark, agitation whips in two versions including leather, and protection scratch pants for the helper.
- Logistics: a K9 gear bag for sleeves and equipment, a bite suit bag, and collapsible water bowls in 1 liter / 34 oz and 650 ml / 22 oz.
The set of 7 articles gives the dog different materials to indicate, which is useful once the basic indication is solid and you want to proof it. The set of 3 is enough for a club track or early training.
A telescopic blind collapses for transport, which matters if you train away from a club field. The hurdle is adjustable, so you can start low with a young dog and raise it as the retrieve gets reliable.
For the bite work itself, see bite sleeves and bite tugs. For obedience and tracking rewards, look at our reward toys and the K9 treat pouch.
