2 kg Wooden Dog Training Dumbbell with Removable Plates - Blue

2 kg Wooden Dog Training Dumbbell with Removable Plates - Blue

The heaviest dumbbell in the retrieve progression, made for dogs working at the top level. At a full 2 kg (2000 g), it combines a smooth, polished hardwood dowel with blue removable plastic plates - a durable trial-weight tool for IGP 3 / Schutzhund III flat-retrieve training.

Built for the top-level retrieve

Carrying 2 kg calmly and cleanly takes strength, a full grip and real confidence. The longer 33 cm dowel spreads the weight across a wider stance, helping the dog balance the load and keep a quiet, centered hold. Because the plates come off, you can build up to full weight step by step instead of asking for it all at once.

Key features

• Full 2 kg weight - the standard dumbbell weight for the IGP 3 / Schutzhund III flat retrieve.
• Removable plastic plates - lighten the load for conditioning, then return to full trial weight.
• Polished hardwood dowel - a smooth, dried hardwood surface that protects the teeth during long carries.
• Non-toxic, hypoallergenic materials - comfortable for the dog during repeated training sessions.
• Long 33 cm design - more room between the plates to support a balanced, full-mouth grip.
• 12 cm raised plates - lift the dowel off the ground for an easy, clean pick-up.

Ideal for

• IGP 3 / Schutzhund III retrieve training
• Building neck strength and a steady carry under weight
• Experienced dogs progressing from the 1 kg dumbbell
• Competition preparation at the highest level

Before you start

At this weight, the right fit is essential. Check that the plate height, dowel thickness and the width between the plates suit your dog, so it can carry from the center without the plates touching its lips. Introduce the 2 kg dumbbell only once your dog holds and carries the lighter weights reliably, and consult a professional trainer if you're unsure.
