Herm Sprenger Prong Collar for Labradors - Black Stainless Steel Click-Lock (Medium, 3.2 mm)

Herm Sprenger Prong Collar for Labradors - Click-Lock, Medium

Stop the pulling and enjoy calm walks with your Labrador using the Herm Sprenger black stainless-steel prong collar, engineered in Germany for strong, enthusiastic dogs. Its quick-release Click-Lock buckle delivers clear, humane communication your Lab understands instantly, distributing pressure evenly around the neck instead of choking the throat like a flat collar or slip lead.

Why a Click-Lock Prong Collar Is Ideal for the Labrador

The Labrador is friendly, enthusiastic, and full of energy, loving to greet people and dogs - so it tends to pull excitedly toward anything interesting. Despite its easygoing nature, its strength and weight make uncontrolled pulling a nuisance and even a hazard. A prong collar helps enormously with pull prevention: it delivers a gentle, clear correction the moment the dog pulls, quickly teaching it to walk on a loose leash. Pressure spread around the neck is safer than the point load of a flat collar against the throat. The Click-Lock buckle suits the routine of an active owner - quick on before a walk, secure so it won't open when your eager Lab lunges toward the park. The stainless steel is durable and works well through its dense coat.

Choosing the Right Size for a Labrador

The Labrador has a neck typically 45-55 cm around. The 52 cm base fits most Labradors, and you can add a link for larger dogs. Measure the neck and choose accordingly.

Safe Fit & Use

Never leave a dog unattended in a prong collar. Open the Click-Lock buckle to put it on - don't pull it over the head. Fit it high on the neck, snug but not tight.
