Training Gear for the German Shepherd
The German Shepherd is one of the world's most capable working breeds: intelligent, loyal and strong. Most adults weigh 50–90 lb, with a neck size of about 18–24 inches. Their gear has to handle police, protection and sport work as well as long daily walks.
What You'll Find in This Collection
Waterproof PowerFlex collars in 20–25 mm and wide 40–50 mm, tactical nylon collars, Herm Sprenger prong collars and heavy-duty leashes. There are also 3D wire and lightweight muzzles, bite pillows, French linen and jute tugs, a training ball, a service dog vest and an orthopedic elevated bed.
What Matters for This Breed
The German Shepherd's thick double coat hides the real neck size, so always measure against the skin. This is a strong puller with a high drive, so a wide collar or a correctly fitted prong collar gives better control than a narrow one. Large, active dogs are prone to hip and elbow problems, so an orthopedic bed that supports the joints is worth having.
