French Linen Bite Wedge- TripleHandle Bite Developer
Product Description
Product Description
One job, done properly: building a clean, full, committed grip. The bite wedge lives between the tug and the sleeve - the stage where a young dog learns to launch, target, and hold. Three handles, a bite-bar profile, and a 100% French linen surface that gives resistance without punishing a developing mouth.
The shape does the teaching
The wedge's bite-bar profile presents a clear, unambiguous target. The dog does not have to work out where to bite - the geometry tells him. That is what produces the launch, the deep entry, and the full mouth you are trying to build, instead of a shallow grab at the edge.
Three handles, total control
Three reinforced handles across the back give the helper several ways to hold and present it. Take one for a fast, low presentation. Take two for a stable frame against a hard hit. Or slip your arm through and drive it like a sleeve. Your hands stay behind the bite surface and out of the way, and the target lands exactly where you want it — angle, height, and timing all under your control.
French linen - resistance without punishment
The bite surface is French linen, and nothing else. It compresses under the bite instead of fighting back: the dog gets something to sink into, feels the reward of a full grip, and comes away wanting more. It is the right surface for a mouth that is still developing, and it holds up once the dog starts putting real power behind the entry.
The step between the tug and the sleeve
Tugs build drive. Sleeves demand commitment. The wedge is what carries a dog from one to the other. Substantial enough to take a serious hit, light enough to present fast — again and again — in the short, high-value reps that build a young dog's confidence.

Who it is for
Helpers and handlers building foundation bite work - puppies learning to target, adolescents moving from play into structured sessions, and any working dog whose grip needs rebuilding deep and full. Suits IGP, PSA, French Ring, and police foundation programs.
How to work it
Keep sessions short and finish while the dog still wants more. Present the wedge cleanly, reward the deep entry, and never reward a shallow grab. Work a clean out on command from day one. Store it dry and ventilated to protect the linen.
Handler note
This is a training tool, not a chew toy. It is built for supervised, intentional work — not to be left with a dog. Treated that way, it will last for years.
