Which dumbbell weight do I need?

650 g - IGP 1 / Schutzhund I flat retrieve, and the starting point for most young dogs.

1 kg (1000 g) - IGP 2 / Schutzhund II flat retrieve.

2 kg (2000 g) - IGP 3 / Schutzhund III flat retrieve.
Lighter dumbbells are also commonly used for the retrieve over the hurdle and the climbing wall. Always check the current rules of your organization before a trial.
