Herm Sprenger Prong Collar for Pitbulls - Black Stainless Steel Click-Lock (Medium, 3.2 mm)

Herm Sprenger Prong Collar for Pitbulls - Click-Lock, Medium

Gain real control over your Pitbull with the Herm Sprenger black stainless-steel prong collar, engineered in Germany for muscular, powerful dogs that pull. Its quick-release Click-Lock buckle delivers clear, humane communication your Pitbull understands instantly, distributing pressure evenly around the neck instead of choking the throat like a flat collar or slip lead.

Why a Click-Lock Prong Collar Is Ideal for the Pitbull

The Pitbull is exceptionally muscular, strong, and stocky for its size, with a thick neck and serious pulling power. That raw strength makes a flat collar hard to manage - and Pitbulls often back out of harnesses and flat collars entirely. A prong collar provides safe, effective control: pressure distributes around the entire neck and delivers a clear correction without relying on the handler's physical strength. The Pitbull's short coat is ideal for a prong collar, which works through direct, even contact. The Click-Lock buckle is essential for a dog this strong - it locks securely, is rated to 200 kg, and never opens by accident even under powerful pulls, so you stay in full control in exciting moments.

Choosing the Right Size for a Pitbull

The Pitbull has an especially thick, muscular neck for its size, typically 40-55 cm around. The 52 cm base fits most; for an especially wide neck you can add links (+2.4 cm each). Measure the exact circumference before ordering.

Safe Fit & Use

Never leave a dog unattended in a prong collar. Open the Click-Lock buckle to put it on - don't pull it over the head. Fit it high on the neck, snug but not tight.
