Herm Sprenger Prong Collar for Rottweilers - Black Stainless Steel Click-Lock (Medium, 3.2 mm)

Herm Sprenger Prong Collar for Rottweilers - Click-Lock, Medium

Take safe, confident control of your Rottweiler with the Herm Sprenger black stainless-steel prong collar, engineered in Germany for powerful, heavy dogs that pull. Its quick-release Click-Lock buckle delivers clear, humane communication your Rottweiler understands instantly, distributing pressure evenly around the neck instead of choking the throat like a flat collar or slip lead.

Why a Click-Lock Prong Collar Is Ideal for the Rottweiler

The Rottweiler is a powerful, muscular, heavy dog with exceptional physical strength and a natural urge to lead. When it pulls, a regular collar or harness is very hard to control and can be dangerous in public. A prong collar gives you effective, safe control of such a strong dog: pressure spreads around the entire wide neck and delivers a clear correction with controlled force, without relying on the handler's strength. The collar's 200 kg rating matches the breed's pulling power exactly. The Rottweiler's short coat allows uniform, effective contact. The Click-Lock buckle is critical here - it provides a strong, secure connection that won't open even under a powerful pull, giving you peace of mind while controlling a heavy dog.

Choosing the Right Size for a Rottweiler

The Rottweiler has an especially thick, strong neck, typically 50-65 cm around. The 52 cm base is small for most Rottweilers, so we recommend adding one or two links (+2.4 cm each) to fit the wide neck. Measure the exact circumference before ordering.

Safe Fit & Use

Never leave a dog unattended in a prong collar. Open the Click-Lock buckle to put it on - don't pull it over the head. Fit it high on the neck, snug but not tight.
