Herm Sprenger Prong Collar for German Shepherds - Black Stainless Steel Click-Lock (Medium, 3.2 mm)

Herm Sprenger Prong Collar for German Shepherds - Click-Lock, Medium

Teach your German Shepherd to walk calmly on a loose leash with the Herm Sprenger black stainless-steel prong collar, engineered in Germany for strong, high-drive dogs that pull. Its quick-release Click-Lock buckle delivers clear, humane communication your Shepherd understands instantly, distributing pressure evenly around the neck instead of choking the throat like a flat collar or slip lead.

Why a Click-Lock Prong Collar Is Ideal for German Shepherds

The German Shepherd is one of the world's premier working, protection, and police breeds - intelligent, powerful, and intensely driven. That drive makes an untrained Shepherd pull hard toward any distraction, and sheer body strength makes a flat collar or harness difficult to control. A prong collar gives this smart breed instant, unmistakable feedback: welded links spread a gentle pinch around the whole neck, mimicking the correction a mother dog uses, so training is faster, safer, and kinder. The Click-Lock buckle snaps on and off in seconds without dragging metal over your dog's head or coat, and never pops open mid-walk.

Choosing the Right Size for a German Shepherd

Adult German Shepherds usually measure 45-55 cm around the neck. The 52 cm base fits most adults; for larger males, add one or two links (+2.4 cm each). Measure the neck just behind the ears before ordering.

Safe Fit & Use

Never leave a dog unattended in a prong collar. Open the Click-Lock buckle to put it on - don't pull it over the head. Fit it high on the neck, snug but not tight.
