1 kg Wooden Dog Training Dumbbell with Removable Plates - Blue

1 kg Wooden Dog Training Dumbbell with Removable Plates - Blue

Built for the advanced retrieve. This full 1 kg (1000 g) dumbbell pairs a dried hardwood dowel with blue removable plastic plates, giving you a true trial-weight tool for IGP 2 / Schutzhund II work - with the flexibility to adjust the load as your dog's strength and hold develop.

Made for the next level of retrieve work

Moving up to a 1 kg dumbbell is a big step. The extra weight tests the dog's grip, neck strength and calm carry over distance. Removable plates let you bridge that gap gradually: work with the plates off first, then return to full weight once the dog carries confidently, without mouthing or dropping.

Before you start

The heavier the dumbbell, the more fit matters. Make sure the plate height, dowel thickness and space between the plates suit your dog, so it can grip the center comfortably with the plates clear of its lips. A professional trainer can help you decide when your dog is ready for the 1 kg weight.
