Service Dog Vest for Australian Shepherds - Professional Marking Harness

Service Dog Vest for Australian Shepherds - Professional Marking Harness

The Australian Shepherd is intelligent, intuitive, and deeply devoted to its people - traits that make it an outstanding service, therapy, and emotional-support dog. This professional service dog vest for Australian Shepherds gives your Aussie clear "working dog" visibility, easier access to public spaces, and full comfort through long days on duty.

Why this vest suits the Australian Shepherd

• Built for an athletic, medium-size frame - adjustable straps fit the Aussie's deep chest and agile build.
• Breathable, lightweight mesh - one of the lightest vests on the market, ideal for the breed's thick double coat and warm weather.
• Visibility and safety - reflective strips on both sides for recognition even in the dark.
• Removable "SERVICE DOG" patches - clear, professional marking (optional, available as a paid add-on).
• Stainless-steel ring and quick-release buckle - for leash and ID tags, on and off in seconds.

Which size fits an Australian Shepherd?

Measure the chest girth behind the front legs at the widest point, over the coat:

• Adult females: chest about 60-75 cm → size L
• Adult males: chest about 70-85 cm → size L or XL
• Puppies / young dogs: measure and choose from the chart below (usually M)

Tip: if your Aussie is between two sizes - common with a full coat - choose the larger one.

Frequently asked questions

Are Australian Shepherds good service dogs?
Yes - Aussies are highly trainable, attentive, and people-focused, and they are widely used as service, therapy, and emotional-support dogs.

Will the vest be too hot over an Aussie's coat?
The open mesh is one of the lightest on the market and lets air circulate, so it stays comfortable over a dense double coat.

Can my dog wear it for agility or off-leash work?
Yes - it's light and secure enough for training and activity, and the reflective strips add visibility outdoors.
